This route will follow route 55 from Gainsville, VA all the way to Boyce, VA. Our first brake will be in Linden, VA at a 7-11 right next to the Apple House Resturant. Our destination will be the Lone Star Tavern for lunch in Boyce, VA. They have outdoor dining and we will shoot to eat outdoors, weather permitting. 

About Lone Oak Tavern:

Lone Oak Tavern has been a popular eating spot for locals and travelers for over 90 years. Currently owned and operated by Terry & Angela Spinosa, the Lone Oak Tavern is carrying on the traditions it has been known for as a comfortable friendly stop to enjoy great food, ice cold beer in a frosty mug (Minus the cold beer on this ride crying!)and friendly people. Lone Oak Tavern proudly serves local Black Angus burgers.

On the Return, we will hit the twisties of Mount Weather and then ride into snickersville and back home through Route 50. 

Meeting time will be at 9am, KSU by 9:30am!

Riding Level for this ride is:

Experienced (confident riding/seasoned rider) and Expert (all weather conditions/ride for extended periods day or night)
